Davison Highley, Brewhouse Yard
Lighting up a furniture showroom in Clerkenwall, London
We were appointed to provide Project Management, Quantity Surveying and CDM Consultancy services. Our client was Davison Highley, a bespoke furniture designer and manufacturer who are highly regarded in the furniture industry. The project was to fit out shell space to form a furniture showroom.
The works were carried out on the lower ground level of the Brewhouse Yard, in the Clerkenwell design quarter. The yard is formerly the site of the Cannon Brewery, which was demolished and replaced with the current building, a modern construction providing a mixture of residential and retail units.
The existing building included some interesting features such as structural steel members and a vaulted ceiling, which the client wanted to embrace within the design. Whilst the finishes were minimalist, the lighting design was a major element to allow the client a blank but flexible canvas to showcase their bespoke furniture to prospective clients.
Services include
- Minimalist finishes
- Enhanced showroom lighting installation
- Heritage features of the site modernised
