Project Management successfully delivered on this exciting redevelopment

We were appointed to provide Project Management services for the redevelopment of student facilities at the Loughton campus of the University of Essex and E15 Acting School.

E15 Acting School is one of the largest specialist theatre schools in the UK, therefore the programme of works was phased to ensure the campus could remain operational throughout the construction so that  students were able to continue their students without disruption.  Works comprised the demolition of unsympathetic extensions previously added to the grade 2 listed theatre, which were replaced with new contextually modern buildings constructed to a design sympathetic to the style of the original theatre.

The existing refectory was extended, a new lined building containing storage, changing rooms, library and IT facilities was created and the external landscaping was revised to the new building envelope and the external campus environment was enhanced.

The project delivered an attractive student hub for the campus, fit for the growing numbers of students the facility attracts.

  • Enlarged and upgraded refectory provided
